Timothy A. Loranger, a seasoned lawyer and senior partner at the national law firm Wisner Baum (previously known as Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman), holds expertise in mass disaster cases. As a dedicated advocate for consumers, an accomplished pilot, and a devoted citizen champion, Tim is responsible for overseeing our legal matters related to product liability, aviation, and accidents in commercial ground transportation. These encompass incidents involving trucks, trains, military vehicles, and military-related catastrophes resulting in severe personal harm or wrongful death. Notably, he chaired the Aviation Law Section of the American Association for Justice, the world’s largest trial bar, from 2021 to 2022.

Tim received the prestigious title of “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury Litigation in Los Angeles from Best Lawyers® in 2020. With extensive experience in cases involving flawed design, operation, and maintenance of commercial trucks, buses, and aircraft, Tim’s diverse background in science and mechanics enables him to adeptly identify and establish causation in accidents.

Having served in the United States Marine Corps during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Tim’s military background instilled values of service, honor, compassion, perseverance, and dedication. His time as an aircraft mechanic across various U.S. locations further fueled his passion for aviation and safety.

Tim’s desire to fly was realized when he obtained his pilot’s license over 15 years ago, a passion he continues to pursue alongside his legal practice. After his military service, he earned degrees in Biology from California State University, Northridge, and Law from Southwestern University School of Law.

Actively engaged in professional associations like the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California, and the American Association for Justice, Tim is committed to defending consumers against unsafe products, unethical business practices, and negligent corporate behavior.

Beyond courtroom advocacy, Tim champions consumer safety legislation, fights for victim’s rights, and strives for equitable access to justice. His involvement in CAALA is notable, serving on the Board of Governors and contributing to various committees, including Government Relations, Public Relations, Listserv, New Lawyers, and Mentor Program.

Tim has been bestowed with three Presidential Awards by CAALA in recognition of his relentless endeavors to uphold victims’ rights and his dedicated work for consumer safety.

Outside of his legal commitments, Tim engages in charitable fundraising, participates in marathons and triathlons, with aspirations of completing a full Ironman Triathlon. His greatest joy lies in spending time with his wife, Desiree, and their daughter, Elizabeth.

Furthermore, Tim’s affiliations with the Boy Scouts of America and the Civil Air Patrol—a nonprofit organization dedicated to aerospace education and associated with the U.S. Air Force—underscore his commitment to community and education.
