In 1992, Mr. Sapone earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Fordham University. He continued his education and graduated cum laude in 2000 from New York Law School, obtaining a Juris Doctor degree.

Mr. Sapone is an esteemed faculty member at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and has served as an instructor at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. Additionally, Mr. Sapone serves as the criminal defense counsel to the Government of Mexico through its Consulate in Manhattan. He has held the position of the past-president of The New York Criminal Bar Association and currently chairs the Sentencing Committee. He is an active member of professional organizations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (“NACDL”), the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, the Federal Bar Council, and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (“NYSACDL”).
