Steven M. Silverberg holds the position of counsel at Silverberg Zalantis, LLC, a law firm situated in Tarrytown, New York. Specializing in business and real estate law, he advocates on behalf of developers and local governments concerning land use, zoning, and environmental legal matters. His extensive expertise encompasses both the negotiation and litigation of intricate residential and commercial development cases, which includes the management of complex development agreements.

In addition to his work with municipal land use boards and as special counsel for various municipalities, Mr. Silverberg has served as a legal representative for multiple town and village governments. He has previously held the role of adjunct professor of law at New York Law School and currently serves as an adjunct professor at the Pace University Elizabeth Haub School of Law. He is a frequent lecturer on subjects related to land use, zoning, and municipal law, and has authored numerous articles and publications on real estate law, including his co-authorship of “Wetlands and Coastal Zone Regulation and Compliance.”

Mr. Silverberg actively participates in his legal community and is a member of the board of editors for the New York Real Estate Law Reporter. His previous roles include serving as the second vice president of the Rockland Municipal Planning Federation, as a board member of the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation, chairing the Environmental Law Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association, chairing the Education Board of the American Bar Association, Law Practice Division, chairing the planning board of the Village of Piermont, and serving as a member of the Village of Piermont Village Board. He has also been a member of the governing Council of the American Bar Association, Law Practice Division.
