Joshua M. Gillette is a founding partner at the Gillette & Izzo Law Office, where his primary focus lies in handling cases related to medical malpractice, catastrophic injuries, and personal injury on behalf of plaintiffs.
Before establishing Gillette & Izzo Law Office, Mr. Gillette spent over nine years with a defense firm specializing in medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases, during which he also served as a partner for more than two years. He possesses extensive expertise in a wide range of legal matters, including medical malpractice, products liability, wrongful death, and premises liability. Leveraging his valuable experience gained from working on both sides of civil litigation, Mr. Gillette vigorously advocates for his current clients.
Furthermore, he dedicated five years as a partner in a plaintiff’s medical malpractice and personal injury firm before co-founding Gillette & Izzo Law Office. Mr. Gillette has successfully litigated cases for both defendants and plaintiffs in various New York Courts and holds admission to practice in all New York State Courts, as well as the Northern, Western, and Southern District Courts of New York. He is a proud member of esteemed legal associations, including the New York State Bar Association, the Onondaga County Bar Association, and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Notably, Mr. Gillette has shared his legal insights by delivering lectures at numerous continuing legal education programs, covering a wide array of subjects within civil litigation. He has also imparted knowledge to medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and medical students, on topics such as medical malpractice and disciplinary proceedings. His commitment to education is exemplified by his presentation at the 43rd Annual Regional Perinatal Symposium. Mr. Gillette’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Pre-Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Second Major in Interdisciplinary Social Science with a Business Emphasis, both earned from Michigan State University through its Honors College. Subsequently, he achieved his J.D. degree, graduating cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law.
