Mr. Elmore earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1985 and currently holds memberships with the Bar Association of Erie County and the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association. He has been appointed by the governor to chair the 4th Department of the Judicial Screening Committee and serve on the New York Judicial Screening Committee, further underscoring his commitment to the legal profession.
Beyond his legal endeavors, Mr. Elmore actively engages with his community, having previously served as a member of the New York State Commission on Indigent Defense. He is a lifelong member of the NAACP, dedicated seven years as a trustee of Erie Community College, and previously contributed his expertise as a member of the United States District Court Western District of New York’s Magistrate Selection Committee.
