Alan M. Sack

The founder of Sack IP Law p.c., Alan M. Sack focuses his practice exclusively on intellectual property matters. With offices located at 6800 Jericho Tpk. in Syosset, New York, and at 445 Park Avenue in Manhattan, he represents people and businesses throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area. Mr. Sack majored in life sciences and physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated in 1979. He then pursued his legal education at the Benjamin M. Cardozo School of Law in 1983 where he received his Juris Doctor.Prior to opening his practice in January 2015, Mr. Sack was a partner at the New York City office of a national law firm and was of counsel at an international law firm. He has been admitted to practice in New York since 1984, and he is also admitted to practice in New Jersey as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern District of New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In addition, Mr. Sack is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Mr. Sack has an extensive patent practice that encompasses application preparation and prosecution, litigation, licensing, appeals, and infringement. He has worked on matters involving computer sciences, medical devices, chemical technologies, and petroleum processing, among numerous other areas. Mr. Sack’s intellectual property experience has also encompassed copyrights, trademarks, domain names, and trade secret infringement and misappropriation.
