Dena A. Kleeman

Dena A. Kleeman has practiced family law since her 1983 graduation from Stanford Law School, becoming a California Certified Family Law Specialist in 1994 and receiving specialized training as a divorce mediator in 1998. During the course of her career, Ms. Kleeman has handled complex divorce matters involving business valuation, divorce taxation, real property, compensation, benefits, and intellectual property issues.Ms. Kleeman prepares premarital agreements to structure her clients' financial arrangements during marriage and prevent divorce-related problems that might otherwise ensue. Although her philosophy is to resolve matters by settlement, she aggressively represents her clients in litigation whenever called for. Ms. Kleeman teams with her partner, Ruth Kremen, and lawyers from other disciplines, to assure that her clients receive the most knowledgeable, attentive, and professional legal services they require for all facets of a family law case.Ms. Kleeman also has an expertise in child custody. After graduating from Wesleyan University in 1977, she went on to obtain her certification as a teacher for developmentally delayed children from Thalians Mental Health Center, Cedars Sinai Medical Center in 1978. Ms. Kleeman brings this training to bear, along with her many years of family law experience, in her representation of parents in divorce and parentage matters. Her expertise extends to representing parents in international and Hague convention custody matters.
