Don De Leon

Don De Leon has spent over a decade fighting for the rights of workers, including physicians who were wrongfully terminated for complaining about unsafe hospital conditions, tech workers who were retaliated against for requesting an accommodation for a disability, hourly workers whose employers failed to pay them for overtime or for missed meal or rest breaks, and many other workers across various industries.  He has also helped numerous people obtain settlements in personal injury matters, and has represented clients in cases against a variety of entities such as Methodist Hospital, Ralphs, American Honda Motor Company, Omni Hotels, San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, the City of Santa Clarita, and many others.Mr. De Leon went to college at the University of Notre Dame, where he studied economics and international peace studies.  After college, he worked for a labor union in San Francisco, representing tech workers during the height of the dot com boom.  He then received a Masters degree in theological studies and moved to Silicon Valley where he worked to mobilize the interfaith community around issues of social and economic justice, such as universal healthcare  and living wages.   Mr. De Leon then decided to go to law school so he could build the capacity to use the legal system to fight for the rights of working families.   He attended UC Berkeley School of Law, where he served on the California Law Review and as an editor of the Asian American Law Journal and the Berkeley Journal of International Law, before being awarded a Juris Doctor in 2009.In addition to representing workers, Mr. De Leon represents socially-responsible businesses, serving as outside general counsel to multiple companies.  Based in Santa Monica, California, he provides representation to clients in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area and throughout the state.Mr. De Leon is a member of The State Bar of California, the California Employment Lawyers Association, and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles.
