Lauren Zorfas

Serving clients throughout Northern California, Lauren Zorfas is a founding partner and head of the alternative dispute resolution group of ADZ Law, LLP, in San Mateo, California. Her practice areas are mainly focused on family law, mediation, private judging and minors’ counsel.After graduating with a bachelor’s in liberal arts and sciences from Medaille University, Ms. Zorfas went on to pursue her legal studies at San Francisco Law School. In 1999, she earned her Juris Doctor with honors and was valedictorian of her class. The same year, she was admitted to practice by the State Bar of California.Ms. Zorfas assists clients in her capacity as an arbitrator, parent coordinator, settlement officer and neutral evaluator. As a former court commissioner with the San Mateo Superior Court with extensive mediation training, she is able to help clients navigate through family law issues with ease. In addition, she possesses 22 years of combined litigation and alternative dispute resolution experience.The recipient of the William Nagle, Jr. Memorial Award presented by the San Mateo County Bar Association, Ms. Zorfas has been recognized by the legal community for her vast knowledge of the law. The California Federation of Interpreters invited her to be a presenter at the 11th annual Continuing Education conference.Active in her legal circle, Ms. Zorfas has been a functioning member of several prominent associations. She participates in the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the California Judges Association, the Collaborative Practice of San Mateo County and the San Mateo County Bar Association. In giving back to her community, she has conducted many training sessions and workshops for young attorneys on various topics, including mediation and family law-related matters. Moreover, she has been honored with the Fatherhood Advocate of the Year Award by the Fatherhood Collaborative of San Mateo County.
