Marissa K. Kohl

Marissa K. Kohl earned her bachelor's degree in psychology with concentrations in law and business from the Pennsylvania State University in 2014. After completing her undergraduate studies, she interned at Mears, Smith, Houser & Boyle, P.C. in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, under the guidance of Attorney Kim Ross Houser. During her time there, she gained exposure to various legal areas, including personal injury law, estates and trusts, workers’ compensation, corporate law, and Social Security disability. Subsequently, she left Mears & Smith to pursue her Juris Doctor at Duquesne University School of Law, graduating cum laude.While in law school, Kohl distinguished herself as a Dean’s Scholar and received the CALI Award for Excellence in Civil Procedure. She also served as a law clerk at Woomer & Talarico, offering support in personal injury cases. Kohl initiated her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Donald R. Walko, Jr. in the Civil Division of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. In 2019, she joined Berger and Green.Licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State Courts, Attorney Kohl is an active member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ), the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (WPTLA), and the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA).Attorney Kohl has been selected to the 2021-2023 Pennsylvania Rising Stars lists.
