Patricio T. D. Barrera

Attorney Pat Barrera is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on employment law cases.  Pat has been selected to Super Lawyers for 20 consecutive years.  He is proud to devote his practice to obtaining justice for hardworking individuals by protecting his clients from wrongdoing. Between 2017 and the COVID-related Court Closures in 2020, Pat won four jury trials for his clients including three punitive damages verdicts.  He also prevailed in arbitration hearings for his clients.  Pat is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), which is by invitation only for attorneys who have tried a requisite number of civil cases to verdict, the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, having tried or settled cases resulting in multiple million-dollar recoveries for his plaintiff clients. By carefully screening his cases, Mr. Barrera ensures his ability to develop strong personal relationships with his clients as well as superior results in their cases.Mr. Barrera received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1990 and received extensive training with a major law firm before starting his own firm. He is licensed to practice law in California and Texas and the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California.
