Torsten M. Bassell

Torsten M. Bassell is a co-founder of Lari-Joni & Bassell, located in Los Angeles, California. He is a trial lawyer and appellate attorney, who has secured significant settlements, verdicts, and judgments for his clients in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, insurance bad faith, sexual assault, and contract disputes.Mr. Bassell grew up in Kansas and attended the University of Kansas for his undergraduate education. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English literature with honors, Mr. Bassell moved to California and attended Southwestern Law School. While in law school, Mr. Bassell was accepted into the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy Honors Program, was the recipient of an Oralist Award for the Intramural Moot Court competition, and achieved top placement at a national mock trial competition against law students from all over the country. It was during this time that he developed a deep passion for the law of evidence and set off on a lifelong career as a trial lawyer representing plaintiffs.Since starting his law practice, Mr. Bassell has tried cases throughout Northern and Southern California.
