Victor A. Vilaplana

A seasoned attorney of over half a century, Victor A. Vilaplana takes on complex business reorganization and cross-border insolvency matters, and other bankruptcy matters such as creditors’ rights, as well as technology and commercial transactions law. A trustee at Practus, LLP, in La Jolla, California, he serves clients throughout the surrounding region, including San Diego.Mr. Vilaplana completed his undergraduate studies in 1968 at the San Diego State University and went on to earn his Master of Arts degree at The George Washington University two years later. With a fervent passion to pursue law, he attended Stanford Law School, where he sharpened his legal acumen and talents that still inform his practice today. He received his Juris Doctor in 1973, and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice law in California.With his first foray into the legal profession serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Howard B. Turrentine of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, Mr. Vilaplana gained immense exposure to the inner workings of the judiciary, allowing him to use these insights on his clients’ behalf.
