Wendy C. York

As the founder of York Law Firm in Sacramento, California, Wendy C. York focuses her practice on elder and nursing home abuse, wrongful death,  personal injury and wage and hour class action lawsuits. Serving residents in Sacramento, Fairfield and throughout Northern California, Ms. York has a long history of achieving successful settlements and verdicts for her clients.As co-lead counsel, she helped secure over $87 million for UPS drivers in California as part of their class action lawsuit involving wage and hour violations, and she obtained a $3 million verdict on behalf of a client who was the victim of nursing home abuse. Additionally, she has secured multiple million-dollar plua settlements against nursing homes and assisted living facilities on behalf of her elderly clients.  She has successfully handled multiple wrongful death cases on behalf of families and has secured substantial awards and settlements for cases ranging from employment discrimination to personal injury.After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento in 1989, she obtained her Juris Doctor from University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1993. The State Bar of California admitted her to practice that same year, and she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.In addition to her law practice, Ms. York is dedicated to her community. Along with donating both her time and money to various local nonprofit organizations, she is a past recipient of the Sacramento Advocate of the Year Award from the Capital City Trial Lawyers Association.
