Amber Eck, a partner and trial lawyer at Haeggquist & Eck, has been a relentless advocate for the rights of employees, consumers, and shareholders for the past 27 years. Throughout her career, Amber has led trials in both state and federal courts, securing substantial settlements totaling millions of dollars on behalf of her clients. Notably, she fearlessly takes on high-profile defendants, exemplified by her pivotal role as co-lead counsel in the widely covered class action lawsuit against President Donald Trump and Trump University. This case reached a settlement of $25 million, and Amber and her partners worked on it pro bono over a seven-year span. The resolution of the Trump University case in 2016 stood out as one of the most significant class action settlements in California.

Ms. Eck’s exceptional legal acumen has garnered recognition from Super Lawyers, naming her among the top 25 women lawyers and top 50 lawyers in San Diego for the past two years. Her firm, too, has been acknowledged by U.S. News & World Reports as the “Best Law Firm” and “Best Lawyers in America” for 2022. Amber achieved magna cum laude honors from both Boston University School of Law and Pepperdine University.

Amber’s commitment extends to providing pro bono legal aid to underserved communities. She presently serves on the Southern District of California’s Pro Bono Panel and has earned accolades such as the Distinguished Service Award and Wiley W. Manuel Pro Bono Service Award from the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program (“SDVLP”). An accomplished author, she has penned numerous articles and frequently delivers lectures on topics including employment law, class actions, and other legal matters.

She holds the esteemed position of Master in the Welsh Inn of Court and holds memberships in prestigious organizations such as the California Employment Lawyers Association (“CELA”), Lawyers Club of San Diego, Federal Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice (“AAJ”). Beyond her professional endeavors, Amber relishes spending quality time with her husband and teenage daughters, engaging in activities like beach outings with her dog, hiking, skiing, and scuba diving.
