Antar P. Jones, the founder of his namesake law firm, boasts a diverse legal practice that spans estate planning, probate, federal and state income, and estate tax matters. Mr. Jones has been granted admission to practice in all New York state courts since 2009 and is also authorized to practice law in New Jersey.

A substantial portion of Mr. Jones’s legal practice is dedicated to offering guidance and support to fiduciaries, heirs, and beneficiaries in intricate estate tax issues. His expertise extends to both revocable trusts and life insurance trusts, especially concerning their treatment following the grantor’s demise. Additionally, Mr. Jones has represented clients in the domain of international tax treaties and has demonstrated proficiency in general corporate and personal income tax planning, along with handling cases involving decanted trusts. As an adept advocate, he has advocated for his clients’ interests before both the Internal Revenue Service and the United States Tax Court.

Outside his legal pursuits, Mr. Jones is a talented musician. He pursued his passion for music at Purchase College within the State University of New York System, majoring in piano performance and earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1989. He continued to perform as a pianist before, during, and after his studies, culminating in the completion of a Master of Arts in piano performance from Brooklyn College in 1993. Subsequently, he made a career transition, enrolling at New York Law School to pursue legal education. Mr. Jones holds both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws in taxation from this institution, with the latter degree being conferred in 2009.
