Anthony Cecutti is an attorney specializing in criminal defense and civil rights litigation. He serves clients in the New York City metropolitan area and across the United States. His legal practice centers on representing individuals accused of a wide range of offenses, both in Federal and New York state courts. This includes handling cases involving international crimes, violent crimes, securities-related offenses, capital punishment cases, DWI, drug offenses, sex crimes, and white-collar crimes. Additionally, Mr. Cecutti has a track record of successfully representing individuals whose civil rights were violated by law enforcement, including those who have been victims of police brutality, excessive force, and false imprisonment.

Mr. Cecutti pursued his education at the University of Notre Dame, where he obtained his undergraduate degree. Following a year of public service, he furthered his education at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, where he earned a master’s degree. He then pursued a legal career, earning his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. During his time in law school and through his work with organizations such as the Federal Defenders and Mental Hygiene Legal Services, he developed a strong conviction that every client deserves a dedicated advocate when facing criminal charges.

Acknowledged as one of New York’s leading white-collar criminal defense attorneys, Mr. Cecutti has been chosen by his peers to be featured on the annual Super Lawyers list.

In 2002, he completed a Public Interest Law Fellowship with The Bronx Defenders, where he was able to demonstrate his dedication to legal advocacy. In 2003, Mr. Cecutti collaborated with the Center for Capital Litigation in South Carolina, working on capital punishment cases. His passion for advocating for mental health issues led him to specialize in cases with Mental Hygiene Legal Services and New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.

Over the past 15 years, he has dedicated his efforts to being a passionate advocate for his clients, fighting to ensure they are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve during the difficult times they face in their lives.
