Anthony J. Enea, Esq., serves as the managing member of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP, which maintains offices in White Plains and Somers, New York. Over nearly four decades, Mr. Enea has dedicated his legal practice to both educating and safeguarding the rights of elderly individuals, those with disabilities, and their families, particularly when it comes to addressing the financial challenges associated with long-term care.
Mr. Enea and his law firm specialize in various areas, including Elder Law, Estate Planning encompassing Wills and Trusts, Asset Protection Planning, Special Needs Planning, Medicaid Applications for Nursing Home and Home Care, and Guardianships (both contested and non-contested).
He is a prolific author with a multitude of published articles to his name and frequently serves as a lecturer, imparting valuable insights on planning options available to seniors and their legal rights. Mr. Enea holds certifications in elder law from the National Elder Law Foundation, an accreditation recognized by the American Bar Association*. He has also served as a former member of the Executive Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association, notably as a vice-chair of the Committee on the Elderly and Disabled.
Additionally, Mr. Enea has chaired the Elder Law and Special Needs Section of the New York State Bar Association and played an instrumental role in founding the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), where he has been a longstanding member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners.
His contributions to the legal community extend to leadership roles, as Mr. Enea previously held the position of president for both the Westchester County Bar Foundation and the Westchester County Bar Association. Furthermore, he served as chair of the 50+ Section of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Enea’s exceptional dedication and service have earned him several prestigious awards, including the 2018 Distinguished Service Award from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, the Dr. Joseph A. Cimino Community Service Award from the Dominican Sisters, and the Honorable Richard J. Daranco Distinguished Service Award from the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County.
His professional reputation has led to his consistent recognition as a Super Lawyer for an impressive sixteen consecutive years. In specific years, from 2009 to 2022, he achieved the distinction of being named a Top 25 Super Lawyer in Westchester County.
Furthermore, Mr. Enea has secured his place among the “Best Lawyers in America” for thirteen consecutive years, with his recognition extending to being designated as a Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains on five occasions.
