Ms. Fafone earned her bachelor’s degree cum laude in psychology, with a minor in legal studies, from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, New York. Subsequently, she pursued her legal education at Syracuse University College of Law, where she consistently achieved dean’s list status. Her dedication to public service was also evident, as she contributed more than 100 hours to pro bono activities, earning her the Pro Bono and Community Recognition award.
Having completed her legal studies in 2017, Ms. Fafone successfully passed the bar exam and gained admission to the practice of law in 2018, with admission to all state courts in New York. Throughout her time in law school, she gained valuable experience through internships at The Legal Aid Society of Rochester and the New York State Court of Claims, as well as an externship at the office of the New York State Attorney General.
Following graduation, Ms. Fafone continued her legal career as a staff attorney at The Legal Aid Society of Rochester’s Family Law Unit. Here, she honed her skills and developed a passion for family law by advocating for individuals in both supreme and family courts. Her caseload included matters involving domestic abuse survivors, child custody disputes, and orders of protection.
