Christina Shine, the founder of Christina Lana Shine, Esq. Attorney & Mediator, boasts over three decades of experience in her field. Hailing from western New York, she serves clients in the Erie and Niagara counties region. Thanks to her vast expertise, she’s well-equipped to handle even the most intricate family law cases, including those concerning fathers’ rights and qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs).

In 1984, Ms. Shine graduated with honors from Canisius College and subsequently earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Her admission to the New York State Bar Association took place in 1988, marking the start of her dedicated focus on family and matrimonial law. She later pursued further training in collaborative divorce and matrimonial mediation.

Ms. Shine firmly believes that an amicable divorce often proves to be the most suitable path, particularly when children are involved. Nonetheless, she offers her clients a range of options, including mediation, collaborative divorce, and litigation, recognizing that the choice may hinge on the willingness of the other party to cooperate. In 2020, her exceptional work earned recognition from Expertise, which honored her with a place on its list of the Best Divorce Lawyers in Buffalo.

During her college years, she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu sorority, and today, she holds memberships in various professional organizations. These include the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Division; Erie County Bar Association, Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee; and the Attorney for Child program, 4th Department.
