Dana L. Salazar currently holds the role of managing partner at Salazar and Erikson LLP, a law firm. She earned her degree from the University at Albany in 1990 and had a successful career in business management before transitioning to the legal field. In 2005, she graduated with the highest honors, summa cum laude, from Albany Law School, specializing in civil litigation.
Following her law school graduation, Dana Salazar served as a personal law clerk to Hon. Susan Phillips Read at the New York Court of Appeals from 2005 to 2007. Subsequently, she joined the Trial Practice department at Jones Day in New York, New York, where she worked on various complex commercial litigation cases, including those with international elements. In 2009, she returned to the Albany area and became an associate at Tabner, Ryan and Keniry, LLP. In January 2015, she became one of the founding partners of Salazar and Erikson LLP.
Ms. Salazar’s legal practice encompasses a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution, including handling partnership and business association disputes, breach of contract cases, real estate conflicts, personal injury claims, and property damage cases. She also offers comprehensive business support to both new and established business owners. Ms. Salazar practices law in federal and state courts, representing clients at both the trial and appellate levels, and has experience in cases involving international parties.
