Dan Tuczinski contributes over 35 years of legal expertise to the Business Law division at O’Connell and Aronowitz. His extensive legal background encompasses trial, arbitration, and mediation practice, along with client representation in a wide array of areas, such as personal injury, corporate law, business law, estate law, regulatory law, insurance law, municipal law, and land use matters. Dan has represented various parties, including plaintiffs, defendants, claimants, respondents, corporations, businesses, and municipalities in complex litigation across Federal, State, and County Courts.

Previously, Dan served as the County Attorney for Columbia County and provided legal counsel as Special Counsel to several municipal entities, including City, Village, and Town Boards, as well as Fire Districts. Prior to joining O’Connell and Aronowitz, he was a partner at the Connor Curran and Schram law firm in Hudson, New York, and was a founding member of the Fernandez Burstein and Tuczinski and Tuczinski, Cavalier and Gilchrist law firms.

Dan has consistently earned recognition on the Upstate New York Super Lawyer’s list since 2011, an honor bestowed upon fewer than 5% of attorneys in the State. He has also conducted presentations for the New York State Bar Association and New York State Trial Lawyers Association on various legal topics, including Suing and Defending Municipalities, the Development Approval Process, Legal Updates, and Direct Examination Principles applied to Securities Arbitration.

Actively engaged in the local community, Dan is a dedicated advocate for personal safety and civic improvement. He serves as a founding member and Executive Director of the K2P Network, an organization committed to educating and preventing sexual assault and dating violence in schools and communities. Additionally, Dan is a founding organizer and Director for Citizens for Integrity, Inc., a Not-for-Profit Corporation aimed at promoting public service, accountability, and integrity among elected officials and community leaders.
