With a career spanning over thirty years, Daphne L. Silverman has been actively practicing law in federal courts throughout the nation. She operates as a proficient lawyer leading her own firm, namely Daphne Pattinson Silverman, Attorney at Law, situated in Austin. Her services encompassed offering sound counsel and criminal defense aid to individuals stationed at the U.S. Navy base, specifically the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport, Mississippi. Her career subsequently evolved as she took on diverse legal positions within the United States military. This included roles such as staff judge advocate at NCBC Gulfport, assistant staff judge advocate at the United States Strategic Command, and legal assistance attorney at NRLSO Central 109. In these capacities, she provided legal guidance to naval commands on matters related to security, governmental standards of conduct, and military justice.

Ms. Silverman’s affiliations extend to various professional organizations across the nation. These include active participation in the State Bar of Texas’ Disability Rights and Issues committee, involvement with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Texas, and association with the National Lawyers Guild.
