David A. Shapiro, the founder of the Law Offices of David A. Shapiro, P.C., is a highly respected attorney specializing in trust and estate litigation. Operating from his firm in Los Angeles, California, he has dealt with a diverse range of legal issues. These include disputes over wills and trusts, conflicts related to trust administration involving claims of fiduciary duty breaches, contested conservatorships, guardianships, and legal actions involving financial abuse of the elderly. Mr. Shapiro’s expertise has been acknowledged through his certification as a specialist in estate planning, trust, and probate law by the Board of Legal Specialization of The State Bar of California.

During his undergraduate years, Mr. Shapiro pursued studies at The University of Texas at Austin, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995. He then pursued legal studies at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2000. While in law school, he completed an internship with the Environmental and Natural Resources Division of the United States Department of Justice. He has been admitted to practice law in all California state courts since 2001, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Eastern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

Mr. Shapiro is actively engaged in various legal associations, including the Trusts and Estates Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Trusts and Estates Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Litigation Standing Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the California Lawyers Association (formerly a section of the State Bar of California). Beyond his legal involvement, he has contributed to his community by serving on the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Playa Venice Sunrise Foundation and the Los Angeles Estate Planning Planning Council. Presently, he holds a position on the executive committee of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section.
