Attorney David A. Torres, the founder and proprietor of the Law Offices of David A. Torres situated in Bakersfield, California, is a nationally acclaimed trial lawyer. Graduating from California State University, Fresno in 1983, Mr. Torres pursued his education at Gonzaga University, where he actively participated in ROTC and earned a minor in military science. His Juris Doctor degree was obtained from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1986, and he holds licenses to practice in all California U.S. District Courts, as well as several other U.S. District Courts nationwide. His admission extends to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

In addition to his thriving legal practice, Mr. Torres has dedicated years to service in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and served as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer. He later joined the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate Generals Corps, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Although retired from military service, he remains actively involved in veterans’ affairs and has received numerous accolades for his exceptional contributions.

An eminent figure in his field, Mr. Torres held the position of president at the Kern County Bar Association and served as a trustee for The State Bar of California. He chaired the Central California Appellate Advocacy Program and maintains membership in professional organizations such as the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, among others.
