Background: Devon Reiff is a highly accomplished professional with an impressive educational and career history. He graduated from Fordham University and Fordham School of Law, both nationally ranked institutions in New York City. During his time at Fordham, Devon distinguished himself as an All-American athlete and received the honor of being inducted into the Fordham University Athletic Hall of Fame for his exceptional achievements in Swimming and Water Polo.
Following his legal education, Mr. Reiff embarked on a career in law, starting as a member of the New York City Law Department’s Manhattan Trial Unit. In this role, he dedicated numerous years to courtroom advocacy, handling consecutive trials for the City. Subsequently, he transitioned into private practice, where he has been providing legal assistance for over four decades to individuals who have suffered injuries and losses due to the negligence of others. After serving as the leader of a prominent personal injury law firm with six offices across the New York Metropolitan area, he established his boutique law firm, Devon Reiff P.C., in Manhattan in 2007.
For more than a decade, Devon worked with a prominent New York City construction site accident law firm, where he represented clients who were members of various construction trade unions, including structural-steel ironworkers, ornamental ironworkers, laborers, steamfitters, lathers, bridge painters, and carpenters, among others. In his capacity as a trial lawyer at this firm, both individually and as co-trial counsel, he achieved numerous multimillion-dollar jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients. Notably, in 2016 and 2019, he played a pivotal role in securing two exceptionally large jury verdicts of $13.7 million and $22.9 million, respectively, in cases that ultimately led to confidential settlements.
Devon has recently taken on the role of counsel at the law firm Elefterakis, Elefterakis, & Panek, an organization he regards as highly successful, dynamic, and compassionate. This affiliation allows him to continue providing exceptional legal services to his clients.
Throughout his career, Mr. Reiff has amassed a wealth of trial experience, vigorously representing clients in a wide range of cases, including those involving construction site accidents, motor vehicle collisions, premises defects leading to trip and slip-and-fall accidents, medical negligence, healthcare negligence, nursing home abuse, defective and dangerous products, as well as cases against the City of New York and New York State when their employees are responsible for injuries. Additionally, he has represented victims of police misconduct and families who have lost loved ones due to accidents or medical negligence. Mr. Reiff also assists claimants with workers’ compensation and Social Security disability claims.
