Donald R. Williams, Jr. serves as the founder and principal attorney at Reed Williams, A Professional Law Corporation. With a robust background, he adeptly represents clients across the spectrum of employment litigation. His expertise encompasses addressing various claims such as workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, unpaid wages, overtime disputes, meal and rest period violations, and class action suits. Furthermore, Donald offers guidance and consultancy to employers to ensure adherence to compliance standards and to strategize litigation prevention.

Donald also contributes as a Visiting Law Professor at the University of California-Davis School of Law, where he imparts knowledge about electronic discovery and digital evidence to aspiring law students. He conceptualized and formulated a comprehensive course named “Electronic Discovery and Digital Evidence” to equip students with the procedural and practical proficiencies vital for success in contemporary litigation settings.

In addition to his academic role, Donald has been active in prosecuting numerous intricate cases related to employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour breaches in both private and public sectors.

Over the years, Donald’s exceptional legal acumen and contributions have garnered recognition. He has consistently received The National Black Lawyers’ “Top 40 Under 40” Award for California from 2017 to 2022. This accolade celebrates accomplished attorneys under 40, highlighting their legal skills, leadership qualities, and community involvement. Furthermore, he secured a place on Super Lawyer’s Northern California Rising Stars lists in 2021 and 2022, a distinction awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in the region, acknowledging their outstanding performance.

Donald earned his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana’s Grambling State University, a historically black institution.

Donald’s legal practice spans multiple jurisdictions. He is licensed to practice law in all California state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, and Central Districts of California. Additionally, he is admitted to practice law in all Louisiana state courts.
