In 1992, Mr. Sapone earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Fordham University. He continued his education and graduated cum laude in 2000 from New York Law School, obtaining a Juris Doctor degree.

Mr. Sapone’s practice specializes in representing broker-dealers, investors, and chief executive officers, allowing him to fully comprehend the gravity of white-collar crimes. He excels at simplifying complex legal matters for his clients and assembles crucial evidence to bolster their defense strategies. With a track record of success, he consistently secures favorable outcomes by leveraging expert witnesses and innovative legal arguments.

He has also received prestigious accolades such as a Citation of Honor from the Hon. Helen M. Marshall, President of the Borough of Queens, and New York State Assemblyman Francisco P. Moya, as well as a Proclamation of Honor from New York State Sen. Jose Peralta.

Mr. Sapone is an esteemed faculty member at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and has served as an instructor at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. He is sought after as a legal analyst and has made appearances on various media outlets, including Court TV, MSNBC, CNN, and Univision. Additionally, Mr. Sapone serves as the criminal defense counsel to the Government of Mexico through its Consulate in Manhattan. He has held the position of the past-president of The New York Criminal Bar Association and currently chairs the Sentencing Committee. He is an active member of professional organizations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (“NACDL”), the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York Council of Defense Lawyers, the Federal Bar Council, and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (“NYSACDL”).
