Eric Dranoff, one of the founding partners at the New York City law firm Saretsky Katz & Dranoff, LLP, specializes in various legal areas such as insurance coverage, employment and wage litigation, as well as representing municipalities and government agencies in civil rights and general liability cases.

While fully equipped to engage in litigation when necessary, Mr. Dranoff took part in an intensive mediation training program at the Center for Mediation in Law to enhance his understanding of effective mediation techniques. He now serves as a mediator on the panels of both the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

After earning his law degree from Albany Law School with honors, he gained admission to practice in New York and holds admissions to the United States District Court for the Western, Southern, and Eastern Districts of New York.

Recognized by his peers in the legal community, Mr. Dranoff actively contributes to several professional organizations. His accomplishments include being listed in Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys, holding various leadership positions within the New York State Bar Association’s Torts Insurance and Compensation Law Section, and achieving a 10-Superior rating by AVVO.

Mr. Dranoff is not only well-versed in legal matters but also an experienced speaker and author on a range of legal topics. He has penned numerous legal articles covering subjects like addressing claims against municipalities, nonprofit financing, and economic development financing. Furthermore, he served as a legal writing instructor at Albany Law School and was a contributing author for the NYSBA Law School for Insurance Professionals. His expertise extends to his role as the general editor for Lawyers Cooperative Publishing and New York Litigation Forms, where he also served on their advisory board from 1993 to 1996.
