Ms. Markewich is actively engaged in multiple professional organizations, both locally and nationally. Her roles encompass serving on the executive committee and the Trusts and Estates Law Section, as well as vice-chairing the Estate Litigation Committee of the New York State Bar Association. She is also a dedicated member of the New York County Lawyers’ Association, participating in the Surrogate’s Court Committee and the Committee on the Supreme Court.

Beyond her legal affiliations, Ms. Markewich is a member of various other groups, including the New York City Bar Association, the Lexington Democratic Club, and the Women’s Bar Association. She also holds the position of vice-chair on the board of directors of the Amputee Coalition and has previously held the role of district leader with the Park River Independent Democrats.
