Mr. Azat’s journey in the legal field began after he obtained a B.A. in psychology from Tufts University. Subsequently, he pursued his legal education at Loyola Marymount University Law School in Los Angeles, California. During his time in law school, he distinguished himself in trial advocacy. His professional career took off as a law clerk at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office. Additionally, he volunteered his legal expertise at Bet Tzedek Legal Services, a non-profit organization committed to providing high-quality legal assistance to low-income, elderly, and disabled individuals from diverse religious and racial backgrounds.

In 2013, Mr. Azat earned his law degree, successfully passed the bar exams, and was admitted to practice law in California, including admission to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Following his graduation, he served as a deputy district attorney at the San Diego District Attorney’s office before taking up the role of district attorney.
