Jacob Oresky, the founding member of Oresky & Associates, pllc, is a seasoned personal injury attorney based in New York City. His practice is dedicated to representing individuals who have suffered injuries in various types of accidents, including construction mishaps, scaffolding incidents, ladder accidents, workplace injuries, car collisions, pedestrian incidents, slips, falls, and wrongful death cases. Over the course of his career, he has successfully represented more than 1,000 clients.

Mr. Oresky takes great pride in his firm’s track record of successfully representing accident victims, securing multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements. Some notable examples include an $18 million verdict for a carpenter injured in a scaffold fall, a $7.5 million settlement for a workplace fall, and a $5 million settlement for a pedestrian accident, among numerous other multimillion-dollar resolutions.

Admitted to the New York State Bar in 1987, Mr. Oresky initially worked at a multidisciplinary law firm in Westchester County following his graduation from Pace University School of Law. Within a year, he assumed control of the firm’s civil practice and later transitioned to a larger law firm, narrowing his focus to personal injury law. In 1992, he established his firm’s personal injury practice.

In addition to his New York State law license, Mr. Oresky is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, the Bronx County Bar Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
