James E. Hacker, Esq., holds the role of managing partner at the law firm E. Stewart Jones Hacker Murphy, which boasts multiple offices across the broader Capital District of New York. Mr. Hacker’s educational background includes graduating from Hamilton College in 1981, where he currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. He also completed his legal studies at Albany Law School in 1984, where he presently chairs the Board of Trustees. His illustrious career has earned him prestigious recognition as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a distinguished legal association representing the finest trial advocates in North America. Membership in this organization is by invitation only. Furthermore, Mr. Hacker is an elected fellow of the International College of Trial Lawyers, another exclusive association with invitation-only membership.

Actively engaged in the legal community, Mr. Hacker has previously held the role of president at the Albany County Bar Association and currently serves as the regional vice president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He also has a past presidency with the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association and was honored with the “Daniel H. Mahoney” Award by the organization in 2016. Demonstrating his commitment to helping those in need, Mr. Hacker sits on the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York.
