Janice Walshok brings substantial expertise to the field of personal injury law, encompassing areas such as wrongful death, product liability, and insurance bad faith. Notably, she had the privilege of serving as a judicial extern for the Honorable John A. Houston at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Janice has achieved favorable outcomes in multiple jury trials, presented arguments before the Second District Court of Appeal, and secured a victory at the Ninth Circuit by upholding a corporate client’s defense verdict in a significant traumatic brain injury case, even against a prominent law firm in Los Angeles. Her track record includes skillfully attaining early resolutions for clients through summary judgment, motions to strike, and other strategic dispositive motions.

Recognitions for Janice’s legal acumen abound: she was nominated for the 2017 Best of the Bar, chosen as part of Super Lawyers’ San Diego Rising Stars list from 2015 to 2020, a distinction awarded to less than 2.5% of attorneys. Furthermore, in 2023, she earned a place among the Best Lawyers in America for her outstanding work in defending Personal Injury Litigation. Janice actively contributed to the legal community as a Board Member of San Diego Defense Lawyers between 2015 and 2017. Janice Walshok holds degrees from the University of California, San Diego (B.A. Political Science, 2005) and the California Western School of Law (J.D., 2008), where she received the Dean’s Scholarship. While originally from Oklahoma City, she was raised in Hawaii and currently resides in San Diego, where she finds joy in spending quality time with her loved ones.
