Jessica R. Friedman’s legal career is primarily dedicated to handling various aspects of copyright, trademark, licensing, publishing, media law, and privacy. With an impressive track record spanning over three decades, her expertise covers a wide range of legal matters, including libel assessments, publishing contracts, literary agency agreements, commercial contracts such as master service agreements, both domestic and international trademark clearance, content licensing, terms of use, privacy compliance, copyright fair use, infringement analysis, co-author collaboration agreements, and software development and licensing agreements.

Ms. Friedman’s academic background is equally commendable. She graduated with the highest honors, summa cum laude, from Princeton University in 1981, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She then pursued her legal education at Yale Law School, obtaining her Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1985. Her legal practice extends to both the state courts of New York and the federal courts for the Eastern and Southern districts of New York.

Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Friedman has actively participated in various professional organizations. Notably, she has served multiple terms on the Copyright and Literary Property Committee and the Trademark Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
