Jody E. Briandi serves as the President/Managing Partner at Hurwitz Fine P.C., a law firm specializing in business, litigation, and insurance law, with multiple offices in New York State and Connecticut. Within the firm, she holds the position of Board of Directors leader and heads the practice groups for Premises Liability, Retail & Hospitality Liability, and School District Litigation. Ms. Briandi possesses extensive expertise in representing a diverse clientele, including retail, corporate, insurance, commercial transportation, and municipal clients, across a broad spectrum of litigated cases and liability claims. She is especially well-versed in professional liability, particularly in legal malpractice cases.

As a seasoned trial attorney, Ms. Briandi routinely handles cases in state, federal, and appellate courts throughout New York State. She also boasts a unique admission to the Seneca Nation of Indian Courts and personally manages her own appeals process. She is a driving force behind the development of Hurwitz Fine’s 24-Hour Emergency Response Team, responsible for creating a rapid-response protocol to address vehicular and industrial accidents. This approach involves swift investigation of accident causes, the involvement of forensic experts for evidence preservation and analysis, and establishing a strong foundation for the best possible defense.

Ms. Briandi’s educational background includes a Juris Doctor degree from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing Arts and Communication Studies from the State University of New York at Oswego.
