Joel Weinberg serves as the Senior Counsel at L&F Brown, P.C., offering more than ten years of practical experience in litigation to assist clients in resolving legal cases and conflicts. His representation spans both plaintiffs and defendants, and he possesses expertise in both jury and bench trials, having handled a diverse range of claims including those related to real estate, business disputes, personal injury, and consumer law.

Before becoming part of the L&F Brown, P.C. team, Joel held the role of Vice President, Trial Counsel at Fidelity National Law Group. In this capacity, he specialized in real estate matters for insured lenders/owners, serving as in-house counsel for Fidelity National Title Group, Inc.’s Law Division. During this time, he litigated disputes pertaining to ownership, easements, boundaries, lien priority, and other title issues. Prior to his tenure at Fidelity, Joel worked as Of Counsel at Kabateck Brown Kellner LLP, where he prosecuted cases for plaintiffs, including instances of personal injury and consumer class actions. He also engaged in litigation involving real estate and business affairs at Freeman, Freeman & Smiley, LLP, addressing matters like commercial landlord-tenant disputes, lending conflicts, partnership disagreements, and title disputes. Furthermore, he defended cases involving personal injury, premises liability, and products liability at Schaffer, Law, McNaughton & Chen. Joel’s accomplishments also led to his recognition as one of the 2014 Southern California Rising Stars by Super Lawyers Magazine.

Joel’s academic journey includes a B.A. in History (with a Minor in Government) from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. He further earned a J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law (now known as Southwestern Law School), graduating with honors (Cum Laude). During his time at law school, he served as a Lead Articles Editor of the Southwestern University Law Review and undertook roles as a judicial extern to the Honorable Earl Johnson, Jr. of the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, and the Honorable Florence-Marie Cooper of the United States District Court, Central District of California. Additionally, Joel gained experience as a law clerk at a personal injury law firm.

Joel is a licensed attorney in the California state courts and holds admission to the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, enabling him to practice law proficiently in these jurisdictions.
