John H. (Jack) Hickey has deep roots in Miami, where he was both born and raised. His educational journey took him through Miami Palmetto Senior High School, Florida State University (B.A. Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa), and Duke University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. Commencing his career at a prominent legal firm, he initially represented entities such as cruise lines, railroads, and self-insured corporations.

Jack later transitioned his focus, dedicating the past 23 years exclusively to advocating for Plaintiffs dealing with severe personal injuries and wrongful deaths. His involvement includes serving as a past member of The Florida Bar’s Board of Governors, the regulatory body overseeing all attorneys practicing within the state. Furthermore, he has held the position of President at the DCBA. Jack Hickey holds a remarkable triple Board Certification—endorsed by both the National Board of Trial Advocacy (in Trial Law) and The Florida Bar (in Civil Trial and Admiralty and Maritime Law). Presently, he plays a role on the Board of Directors for the American Association for Justice (AAJ). His past roles encompass serving on the Board of Directors for the Florida Justice Association (FJA) and acting as the former Chair of AAJ’s largest section, focused on Motor Vehicle, Highway Safety, and Premises Liability.
