John Martin Murphy, an equity partner at Kelley Ferraro, is committed to serving clients in Cleveland, Ohio, and throughout the state. Mr. Murphy graduated from Purdue University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, followed by the attainment of a Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1995.

Commencing his career by defending cases involving asbestos exposure, Mr. Murphy has since channeled that expertise into advocating for individuals afflicted by mesothelioma and other personal injuries. Throughout his professional journey, he has secured millions of dollars in compensation for his clients.

Underscoring his accomplishments, Mr. Murphy holds membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has earned an “Excellent” rating on Avvo.

Actively engaged in the legal sphere, Mr. Murphy fulfills the role of a magistrate in the mayor’s courts for the Village of Bratenahl and the Village of Grand River. He also maintains membership in prestigious legal associations, including the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, and the New York State Bar Association. His admittance to practice extends to the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Ohio.

During his leisure time, Mr. Murphy assumes the role of a high school baseball coach and indulges in playing softball. Additionally, he contributes as a board member to the Cleveland Baseball Federation.
