He also played a key role in the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases from 2020 to 2021, the Larry Nassar cases against Michigan State University and USA gymnastics from 2019 to 2023, the recent lawsuit filed against Bill Cosby in December 2022, and a $200 million personal injury lawsuit against the City of New York. In 2018, he secured a $28 million sexual assault jury verdict, which was a record at the time for New York State. Mr. Merson’s educational background includes a magna cum laude Bachelor of Arts in communications from Boston University in 2002. He subsequently attended Fordham University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2005. Licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, Mr. Merson gained valuable experience as a partner at a civil litigation firm in New York City before founding Merson Law, PLLC.
