Joseph Klein, a co-founding partner at Korsinsky & Klein, LLP, holds the reins of the firm’s elder law division, overseeing all facets of elder law and Medicaid planning. With a rich background in intricate trusts and estates, he frequents the Surrogate’s Court in New York State. A proud alumnus of Brooklyn Law School, he’s duly admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey. Notably, Mr. Klein wears multiple hats, being a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York State.

A vibrant member of the New York State Bar Association, Joseph delivers lectures across the state, volunteers his legal expertise for nonprofit organizations pro bono, and serves on the boards of four nonprofit entities. His accreditation as an attorney for veterans’ benefits claims before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) underscores his dedication to diverse legal fields.

Joseph’s practice predominantly revolves around the creation and examination of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, healthcare and financial powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. He guides clients and their families through Medicaid and long-term care planning, assisting in the filing of guardianship petitions for those in need. Mr. Klein’s legal acumen extends to civil litigation, especially will contests and other probate-related disputes. He is also a prolific writer, having penned numerous articles on topics aligned with his areas of expertise for various publications.

During his undergraduate years at Brooklyn College, a constituent of The City University of New York, Mr. Klein pursued accounting, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. After gaining substantial experience as an accountant, he embarked on his legal journey at Brooklyn Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2004. Following law school, Joseph worked as an associate at a prominent New York City law firm before co-establishing Korsinsky & Klein LLP in 2009.
