Joseph W. Belluck, an accomplished attorney, co-founded the Belluck & Fox, L.L.P. law firm, with offices spanning New York City and the entire state. Possessing over 25 years of legal expertise, Mr. Belluck is highly regarded nationally for his exceptional trial skills in asbestos, mesothelioma litigation, and other significant personal injury cases.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Belluck has consistently demonstrated his dedication and unwavering advocacy for individuals suffering from toxic exposure and severe injuries stemming from truck and car accidents, as well as other preventable tragedies. Notably, he played a pivotal role in challenging Big Tobacco as a representative for the state of New York, compelling tobacco companies to discontinue their support of misleading scientific research and dismantle billboards across the state. Since 1999, he has represented asbestos victims.

Mr. Belluck’s remarkable achievements include securing more than $1 billion in settlements and awards for victims of asbestos exposure and various personal injuries across the United States. A 1989 graduate of the State University of New York, Binghamton, Mr. Belluck obtained his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the State University of New York Buffalo School of Law in 1994. He is licensed to practice law in New York, Vermont, Colorado, and Washington.

Mr. Belluck is widely regarded as a leader in his field and has held several government appointments, including his current position as chair of the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct since 2017. He is also a member of the New York Medicaid Redesign Team and serves as an advisory council member of the Rockefeller Institute Center for Law and Policy Solutions.

Remaining actively engaged with his alma mater, Mr. Belluck serves on the board of trustees of the State University of New York, and the university has established a professorship in his and his wife’s honor, recognizing their selfless contributions. As part of his philanthropic endeavors, Mr. Belluck sits on the board of several civic and charitable organizations in his area, including the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, Children’s Rights, Precious Dreams, and CMind.
