Mr. Palmateer is a highly experienced litigator specializing in intellectual property (IP) cases, with a practice spanning both state and federal courts. With licenses to practice law in New York and Massachusetts and a patent attorney license in the United States, he holds admission to the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and all Federal District Courts in New York.
In addition to his legal career and his Albany Law School degree, Mr. Palmateer holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and boasts eight years of engineering expertise gained during his tenure at General Electric’s Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.
Beyond his legal and engineering pursuits, Mr. Palmateer has actively engaged in various leadership roles. He has been elected as a Greene County Legislator, served as the Town of Athens Supervisor, and contributed as a member of the Coxsackie-Athens School Board.
