Martin P. Bonventre, Esq., founded the Bonventre Law Firm, PLLC in Albany, New York, with the vision of delivering a more personalized and dedicated approach to legal representation for his clients. His primary goal is to offer assertive and cost-effective legal counsel while providing the essential personal attention to ensure his clients feel at ease and confident. Recognizing the substantial stress and disruption that criminal accusations can bring to a person’s life, he prioritizes his clients’ rights and interests by dedicating the necessary attention to each case and exploring all avenues for securing the most favorable resolutions.

Born in Buffalo and raised in the Capital District of New York, Mr. Bonventre earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in 2006. He subsequently pursued a law degree at Albany Law School, obtaining his doctorate in law in 2010 and becoming a licensed attorney in New York. During his time in law school, he actively participated in various extracurricular activities, including membership in the Albany Law Review, participation in the Rugby Football Club, and involvement with the Student Hurricane Network. His contributions to organizing and aiding Hurricane Katrina relief efforts earned the Student Hurricane Network the 2007 NYSBA President’s Law School Group Pro Bono Service Award.

With over a decade of experience as a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Bonventre has worked with two distinguished law firms, handling a wide spectrum of cases, from drug and weapon possession to larceny and violent crimes, including numerous DWI cases. Additionally, he has served as a professor for paralegal students at Mildred Elley, a private college in Albany, and has conducted Continuing Legal Education courses for fellow attorneys.

Building on his extensive legal background, Mr. Bonventre expanded his practice to include personal injury law. In this capacity, he assists clients in pursuing justice and rightful compensation after suffering injuries in automobile accidents, truck accidents, construction accidents, dog bites, nursing home abuse, and slip/trip and falls. His success in this area is attributed to his highly personalized approach and vigorous advocacy.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Bonventre is committed to providing legal services to underserved communities in New York. When he’s not at work, he enjoys quality time with his family and dogs, traveling, and playing the guitar.
