Condominiums & Cooperatives, Mortgage & Refinance
Matthew Leeds serves as a partner within the Real Estate Transactions and Cooperative and Condominium Housing practice groups at Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer, LLP. Within his role, Mr. Leeds manages a wide range of complex real estate transactions, with a particular focus on matters pertaining to condominiums and cooperatives.
Mr. Leeds is deeply engaged in the burgeoning field of commercial condominiums, as well as leasehold commercial condominiums. A significant portion of his work involves addressing the transfer of unfinished developments or “unsold” units to lenders or investors, and devising strategies for successfully completing these offerings. This entails a comprehensive analysis of structures that take into account sponsor liability concerns. Additionally, Mr. Leeds frequently serves as legal counsel or special counsel to some of the largest law firms in the United States, representing sophisticated real estate stakeholders, including public REITs, prominent real estate owners, and renowned developers.
Furthermore, Mr. Leeds consistently advocates for and represents a diverse clientele, including buyers, sellers, and owners of both commercial and residential properties. His expertise extends to developers and sponsors involved in offering plans, as well as condominium associations, cooperative apartment corporations, investors, lenders, and property management entities.
