Matthew Mead, a managing partner at Stockton, Barker & Mead, LLP, based in Troy, New York, extends his legal expertise to assist clients in a variety of legal domains, which encompass:

Mr. Mead embarked on his legal journey after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, in 1982. He pursued his legal education at Albany Law School and subsequently obtained his law degree. Since 1987, he has held licenses to practice law in New York and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. His practice primarily involves assisting employers in addressing compliance challenges related to New York’s employment laws and regulations.

An active member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), Mr. Mead contributes to the legal community by conducting seminars on workers’ compensation law, particularly targeting fellow attorneys and emerging legal professionals. He holds memberships in both the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section and the Workers’ Compensation Law Section of the NYSBA. In recognition of his outstanding professional achievements and unwavering ethical standards, he received the Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished* peer-review rating in 2022.

With over three decades of experience handling workers’ compensation cases, Mr. Mead has successfully assisted numerous contractors and employers in mitigating or eliminating penalties they may have faced.
