Prior to joining the Defense Bar, Mehdi’s legal career commenced as a dedicated litigator and prosecutor. He holds licenses to practice law in all New York State Courts and Federal District Courts, encompassing the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York. Mehdi’s journey began as a prosecutor at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office, initially specializing in Domestic Violence Cases within the Domestic Violence Bureau. Subsequently, he transitioned to the Trial Division, handling a diverse range of cases, including Burglaries, Robberies, Guns, Attempted Murders, DWIs, and more. Prior to departing the District Attorney’s Office, Mehdi was part of the newly formed Rikers Island Prosecution Bureau, aimed at combating violence and drug trade within New York City’s primary jail facility, requiring intricate investigations and intelligence gathering.

Mehdi’s talent led him to join the Greco Neyland, PC., Law Practice in New York City, where he consistently provided effective legal representation across various case types. In Federal District Courts, he tackled cases involving Federal Conspiracy, RICO, Narcotic and Controlled Substance Trafficking, Wire Fraud, Bank Fraud, Trafficking, Aggravated Identity Theft, Bribery, and more. Throughout Westchester County and all five boroughs of New York City, Mehdi’s criminal defense practice is anchored in the core principle that the client’s rights are paramount.
