Michele M. Monserrate graduated from Georgetown University in 1986, where she earned memberships in both the Jesuit Honor Society and Psi Chi Honor Society. In 1989, she completed her studies at Albany Law School of Union University. Michele is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of New York, as well as the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Within our firm, Michele holds the position of officer and boasts extensive experience as a litigation attorney. Her practice primarily centers on representing physicians and hospitals in cases related to medical malpractice. She also offers support to healthcare professionals such as physicians, dentists, and nurses facing disciplinary proceedings before state and regulatory agencies. Prior to entering private practice, Michele gained substantial appellate experience during her tenure as a judicial law clerk to an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Third Department. In this role, she conducted research and drafted judicial opinions spanning criminal, civil, and administrative law matters. Michele’s exceptional expertise has earned her recognition in The Best Lawyers in America for Medical Malpractice defense and Appellate Law specialties, and she holds an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Michele maintains active membership in several professional associations, including the New York State Bar Association, Albany County Bar Association, and Capital District Women’s Bar Association.
