Orly Ahrony, the founding member of Ahrony Appeals Law Group, specializes exclusively in post-conviction cases and appeals throughout California. With over a decade of experience, she has established a strong reputation in criminal appeals, habeas petitions in both State and Federal Courts, parole hearings, and re-sentencing matters.

One of Ms. Ahrony’s notable achievements involved successfully overturning a life sentence conviction using a Writ of Habeas Corpus, highlighting evidence obtained illegally.

Ms. Ahrony’s practice extends beyond State Courts; she holds licenses to practice in Federal Courts including the Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts, the Ninth Circuit Court, and even the United States Supreme Court.

Education-wise, Ms. Ahrony graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from California State University, Northridge, in 2008. Subsequently, she earned her Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law in 2011.

During her time as an undergraduate, Ms. Ahrony was involved with JusticeCorps, dedicating her volunteer efforts to aiding low-income litigants embroiled in the legal system. She later established a chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International.

While in law school, Ms. Ahrony interned at the California Innocence Project, working to assist those who had been wrongfully convicted. She also gained experience as a law clerk for the National Science Foundation in Washington D.C. These experiences laid the groundwork for her successful career trajectory.

One of her notable accomplishments includes being the first attorney in Marin County Superior Court to obtain a certification of rehabilitation for a client. Renowned for her effective communication, Ms. Ahrony ensures her clients comprehend their choices and the best paths to follow.
