Peter E. Brill, the founder of Brill Legal Group, PC, offers his expertise to clients in the New York City metropolitan area, handling various criminal defense cases. With extensive experience in both federal and state courts, he holds the distinction of being one of only two attorneys in the state certified in criminal trial law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. In addition to his representation of individuals facing charges like domestic violence, embezzlement, and fraud, Mr. Brill has also been a strong advocate for healthcare professionals and other experts before state and local administrative bodies.

Mr. Brill’s educational journey began with a Bachelor of Arts cum laude degree from Brown University in 1994. He pursued his legal studies at Georgetown University Law Center, earning his Juris Doctor in 1997. Following graduation, he spent three years as an assistant district attorney with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office before entering private practice. Admitted to practice in New York, Mr. Brill is an active member of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Furthermore, he is involved in the Theodore Roosevelt American Inn of Court and the New York County Lawyers Association American Inn of Court. Since 2000, he has dedicated his time to the American Civil Liberties Union as a cooperating attorney on a pro bono basis, while also serving as an adjunct professor at the New York Institute of Technology.
